Der Hund spielt gerne Blues. Er erzählt wie er es nicht mehr ausgehalten hat bei Esel, Katze und Hahn. Denn eigentlich wollten sie alle in der Stadt zusammen Musik machen. Aber jetzt hängen die Anderen nur noch faul im Wald in ihrem Räuberhaus herum und werden träge und fett. Nein! Seine Träume darf man nicht vergessen. Erst recht nicht, wenn man sie mit seiner Freiheit gerade erst hart erkämpft hat.
Der Schauspieler Utz Pannike möchte mit diesem Stück Lust machen auf gemeinsames Musizieren und Geschichten erfinden. Aber er will auch über ein Leben in Unfreiheit erzählen, von Sklaverei und der Kraft der Musik. Und das solche Dinge wie Freiheit und die Verwirklichung von Träumen getan, erkämpft, ersungen und erspielt werden müssen und nicht einfach von selber kommen.

The dog loves playing the blues. He tells how he couldn’t stand it any longer with the donkey, cat and cockerel. Because actually they all wanted to make music together in the city. But now the others just hang around lazily in the forest in their robbers‘ house and get lazy and fat. No, you can’t forget your dreams. Especially not when you’ve just fought hard for them with your freedom.
With this play, actor Utz Pannike wants to inspire people to make music together and invent stories. But he also wants to tell stories about a life in bondage, about slavery and the power of music. And that things like freedom and the realisation of dreams have to be done, fought for, sung for and played for and don’t just come naturally.
